Annette is a highly experienced Sports Physiotherapist with over 20 years of treating athletes from grass roots to elite level. As an athlete and sports fanatic herself, she has first-hand experience of the dedication and self-sacrifice required to compete at your highest level.

Annette the Physio

Graduating in physiotherapy from University of Sydney, Annette went on to complete a Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at La Trobe University. A near 20 year career in sport has seen her work in Sydney, Tokyo and London, with sports teams all over the world and individuals at all levels, as well as in specialist private practice. She has worked with England Athletics for the last 11 years and Athletics NSW prior to this, providing specialist physiotherapy services to athletes. Annette has worked at numerous major international competitions including multiple Commonwealth and Olympic Games, World, European and World University Championships in over 10 different countries. Now holding an APA Titling in Sports Physiotherapy, the highest level of Sports Physio in Australia, you can benefit from her wealth of experience right here in the Lake Macquarie area.

Some of the sports Annette has worked with at the elite level include: Athletics, Basketball, Netball, Cross Country, Ultimate frisbee, Swimming, Waterpolo, Football (Soccer), Tennis and Rugby. She also worked on Torvill and Dean's 'Dancing on Ice' TV show.

As an expert in her field Annette has been published in a great many magazines, she was previously a regular columnist in Running Fitness magazine in the UK and most recently wrote for Women's Running magazine, Good housewifes magazine and London Metro.

Although Annette can treat any part of the body, she has a special interest in the foot and ankle and helped set up a specialist foot and ankle group in the UK that provided expert advice, lecturing and research grants for professionals working in this area. This means that Annette has specialist skills to treat sports involving a lot of ankle and foot injuries such as dancing, court sports and football.

Annette can treat people of any age and any level of activity.
